At CWU, I earned a B.A. in Graphic Design and an additional B.A. in English specializing in Writing, a new track that was beginning to take form at the time. I was just short of a minor in IT, having originally thought I’d go into Computer Science. But life is full of tough decisions! Collected here is some of my course work. It’s always fun to look back.
I competed with classmates to have my publication designs used two years consecutively for the English Department’s Manastash Literary Journal. The department staff would vote for their favorite option, and I won! Pretty cool. I still have physical copies on my shelf. I also won 3rd in a t-shirt design contest for the summer program one year. My shirt was printed as an option to purchase alongside the other two winners. One of the last things I did at CWU was enter the juried art exhibit. I brought home the Ellensburg Arts Commission Award for my printmaking project, “The Dreaming.”
